Downstream December 2011
Liquip at the 2011 AIMEX Show
This year's AIMEX show was held from the 6th to the 9th of September 2011 and Liquip took the opportunity to showcase our newest developments.
We had a brand new stand design that featured hands on demonstrations and displayed many of our products including Rack Monitors and Overfill Protection as well as Hectronic and Velcon equipment.
Held every four years and now in its fourth decade, AIMEX is firmly established on the international mining industry calendar, and is the leading trade event for the industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
Taking up 40,000 sq m of space at Sydney Olympic Park, AIMEX 2011 was held in conjunction with a number of related events in Sydney, ensuring the city is a "must-visit" destination for those in the mining industry.
The boys from Hectronic, Martin Blum and Steve Spelman joined us from Germany and Singapore and helped set up the stand as well as assisted with customer queries.
For the Velcon Filtration side, we had Ivan Lawrie and Dennis Hughes come up from Liquip Aviation Division in Melbourne and man the stand as well.
The rest of the team comprised of Manuel Escobar, Graham Vaughan, Danijela Andric and Craig Hilliard who took shifts at manning our stand as well as assisting during set-up and dismantling.
Manuel Escobar, Liquip Commercial Fuels Manager says: “The show gave us an opportunity to check out companies that we could offer our products and services to. The Liquip Product Range along with our partner’s offering is at the top echelon of the equipment in our market.
It was interesting to see the range of countries that had stands at the exhibition. Clearly the Australian mining industry is a major draw card internationally. There were high interest levels on our Fuel Management Systems with Automatic Vehicle Recognition. ”
The Show was judged a big success by the exhibitors, trade visitors, organising committee and sponsor associations.
Our stand generated lots of interest and feedback from visitors and the feedback was that the visual demonstrations were very helpful and practical.
A big thank you to all Liquip team members for all their hard work. The stand would never have happened without them.
Well done team!
