Liquip International at the 2011 Cygnus Aviation Expo - Las Vegas

This years Aviation Industry Expo was held from the 23rd to the 25th of February 2011 in Las Vegas and was home to one of the aviation industry's largest aircraft refuelling and ground support equipment exhibitions.

The Aviation Industry Expo is the premier business and service event for aircraft maintenance, ground support and FBO services drawing over 3000 industry representatives.

Liquip International US Operations (Beta Fluid Systems) along with Almac Tank International exhibited the latest in refuelling vehicle designs as well as the new narrow body cart design which was met with considerable interest from into-plane service companies.

Liquip jointly displayed with Almac Tank International & Almac Europe with whom they have created a strategic partnership.  Almac has already been supplying Liquip US with refueller tanks for the Americas and now this new alliance allows both companies further reach into Europe & Africa by utilising the Almac Europe Facility (based in France) for final assembly operations.  The Almac Tank facility in Montreal, Canada is also well suited for final fitment of refuelling equipment for the Canadian Markets.

Displayed vehicles included:  Landmark 5000 USG (20KL) FBO Style Refueler, Swissport Narrow Body Hydrant Cart and a variety of filtration vessels.  Landmark Aviation has grown to the 2nd largest FBO in the United States and has chosen Liquip as their primary manufacturer of new high-performance refuellers being introduced into their network.

The vehicles drew the attention of many existing and potential customers, and there was no shortage of visitors in Liquip’s booth. One of the most important aspects of attracting new customers is having a presence and showing off our quality products – and that was definitely accomplished!

Many of the new faces that we saw were FBO and fuel service companies in the US and Canada. This is a market segment where Liquip has been steadily growing and there were many new visitors that now are taking an interest in Liquip. Having the vehicles on display was beneficial so that all our customers could see our technical expertise and commitment to producing high performance vehicles.

Frank Montalvo - Director of Sales & Marketing lead the show team which included Rod Evans - CEO, Ivan Lawrie - Global Sales & Marketing Manager, Jason Wileman - Chief Manufacturing Officer, Bobby Greiner - Contracts Manager, Cliff Darrow - Engineering Manager, Dave Gillaspy - Equipment Sales, and Brian Douglas - Sales & Service Technician.

Overall the Aviation Expo introduced many new opportunities to Liquip, and allowed us to meet with our key customers and continue building relationships.  Dyke Chapman - Corporate Development Manager with Ascent World Fuel Services commented “It’s great to see global companies like Liquip drawing international visitors to this show and I think 2011 was a great success!”.
