OPERATIONS MANAGER – LIQUIP INTERNATIONAL USA (BETA FLUID SYSTEMS)

It is with great pleasure that I can formally announce the appointment of Mr. Jason Wileman to the position of Operations Manager, Liquip International USA (Beta Fluid Systems) based in Reidsville North Carolina.

In this role, Jason will be responsible for all production, business improvement/LEAN, QA, and materials management activities within the Liquip International USA (Beta) Division.

With a sound and proven track record extending over 14 years with Liquip, Jason has demonstrated a detailed understanding of our equipment, standards and operational management. In recent years Jason has been exposed to LEAN which led him to champion the LEAN implementation in Australia. It is this, combined with his detailed technical knowledge that will provide enormous assistance in driving our USA business forward while also ensuring that synergies and commonality of product is achieved across our businesses.

Jason will move to the USA in May. His wife, Pauline and children, Jake and Kaitlin will follow soon after in time for the commencement of the USA school year.

Please join me in congratulating Jason and wishing he and his family all the very best for their relocation to North Carolina.

LIQUIP RE-ORGANISATION

Liquip continues to evolve and as a result I am pleased to make the following organisational announcements.

Supply Chain Manager – Liquip international
Tracey Hourd will take up the position of Liquip International Supply Chain Manager. In this role Tracey will report directly to me. As we expand our international operations and seek supply solutions this role is key. In recent times we have seen significant opportunities lost by not having a standardised, disciplined and cohesive approach to our supply chain. The current purchasing managers and departments in each of the Australian Divisions will report directly to Tracey. The purchasing manager in Liquip International USA (Beta) will have a dotted line reporting relationship to this position but will be strategically aligned through common goals and objectives. This is an exciting move for Tracey and an area that must be emphasised if we are to increase our global competitiveness and better support our customers.

General Manager – Equipment Division
Mark Scott will take up the position of General Manager - Equipment Division. Mark will relocate back to Sydney and report directly to me. This will give Mark the opportunity to build knowledge of the Equipment Division and assist in driving this Division forward given the strong foundation that is in place resultant from Tracey’s leadership.

General Manager – Aviation Division
Jeff Borg returns from his three year secondment in the USA to take up the position of General Manager – Aviation Division. Jeff will return with his family to Australia and will bring with him a wealth of experience developed while establishing the USA business. This move, given Jeff’s knowledge of the USA business, will ensure that the two Aviation Divisions work even closer together. Recognising the calibre of the operational team and lean culture already in place, Jeff’s priorities will be outwardly focused, working closely with Ivan Lawrie, Global Sales and Marketing Manager, to capture Liquip’s opportunities in new and expanded markets.

President – Liquip International USA (Beta) Operations
With Jeff Borg’s departure, the recruitment of a new President – Liquip International USA (Beta) Operations is underway. Candidates have been short listed and interviews have concluded. An announcement will be made shortly as to the successful candidate.

Technical Specialist – Liquip International
Mark Fox will shortly return to Australia to take up the new position of Technical Specialist – Liquip International. In this role Mark will be located remotely and will report directly to me. This role is responsible for developing “new generational” concepts and working to package our product offerings to meet specific customer’s needs.

Our emphasis on Lean and disciplined standardised manufacturing has yielded enormous operational benefits; the Technical Specialist role will ensure we continue to innovate and remain ahead of our
opposition.

These changes are significant but necessary and will be rolled out through to the 1st of May. These changes will make Liquip all the stronger as a result.

Regards,

Rod Evans

Liquip Celebrates Safety Achievement

The last few months has seen positive advances in safety, with Equipment Division hitting the 12 and Aviation Division breaking through the 24, Loss Time Injury (LTI) Free Months Milestone in October and September respectively.

General Manager, Tracey Hourd, congratulated her team at the Equipment Division BBQ this month, presenting a plaque to commemorate the event to HSSE Committee Chairman, Joe Maiuolo. The plaque will be displayed in a high traffic area of staff and customers and bears the names of all the employees who contributed to the achievement. Similarly, each employee is to be awarded with an individual achievement award coin as a personal memento, whilst Aviation will conduct their presentation in the new year.

Success abounds this year with these two milestones combining to bring Liquip International to 12 months LTI Free for the first time on record.

Liquip International Safety Managers, Kirk Newman and Rebecca Brennan, are obviously very pleased with the achievement and recognition the two divisions are earning.

“It’s a great achievement that would not be possible without the commitment of each and every employee.” says Kirk.
