About Diesel Filtration
As fuel filtration specialists to the aviation industry for many years, Liquip now present Velcon for Diesel.
Fuel Quality and Cleanliness is a crucial factor to guarantee engine performance and service life. Diesel engine builders report that 90% of diesel engine problems are due to dirt and/or water in the fuel supply. Although diesel leaving the refinery is usually clean, contamination can quickly accumulate during transportation and storage.
Filtration removes:
- Solids (dirt and other particles)
- Bacteria
- Water
- Asphaltene
Bacteria grow at the fuel/water interface and have a corrosive effect on injectors and others critical components, which seriously affects the performance and the service life of diesel engines.
Liquip offer a range of diesel filtration solution including the Vel-Max solution suitable for low to medium flow refuelling.
- Flow on Suction: 100, 200, 300 lpm
- Flow on Pressure: 250, 400, 600 lpm.
- Filter elements: Coalescer (25µ abs.) + Separator (5µ abs.), Aquacon® (5µ abs.), and Filter/separator (25µ nom.)
- Filtration from outside to inside
- Filter efficiency: 98% @ 5 micron
- Absorbent filter element
